Do Alella

The designation of origin (DO) Alella is recognized for the quality of its white wines, both single varietals and blends. The most characteristic grape variety of the Alella DO is the pansa blanca, although we also find whites with garnatxa blanca, chardonnay, or sauvignon blanc, among others. On the other hand, we find aromatic rosé wines, with garnatxa, merlot, and pansa rosada, and in smaller quantities, red wines made with the varieties merlot, garnatxa negra, sirà, cabernet sauvignon, and ull de llebre, as the most representative ones.

wineries in Maresme

In Tiana, Quim Batlle Winery is a project that began in 1999 as a natural and ecological way of producing wine while respecting the tradition and natural processes of the region. They offer various varieties under the Alella Designation of Origin and produce excellent quality white wines.

It is another seaside and mountain vineyard worth visiting. They offer honest wines that are a true taste of the land. A small family cellar with a wide range of ecotourism proposals where, in addition to tours or enjoying their wine bar, you can have fork breakfasts, picnics, or dinners among the vines under the full moon, as well as other activities like quad biking or calçotades (green onions) .

It is a winery established in 1906. They have their own restaurant in the same modernist cellar designed by Jeroni Martorell, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí. Their emblematic brand is Marfil, which follows a century-old tradition.

Another ideal space to enjoy wine tourism meetings is Alta Alella, vineyards sheltered by the Natural Park of Serralada de Marina. Established on a nineteenth-century estate, the winery is based on certified organic agriculture. You can have an aperitif among the vines, enjoy DJ sessions while tasting wines and cavas, or participate in joint activities between vineyards and sailing at sea.

It is a project born in the middle of the Serralada Marina Natural Park to produce wines with the aim of strengthening its commitment to ecology and achieving quality natural wines without using sulfur. An environmentally friendly cellar with a design coherent with sustainable philosophy.

Arenys de Munt has the Talcomraja winery where you can take walks through the forests of Can Pau Bernadó, visit the Can Sala de Dalt vineyard, or combine a wine tasting with a relaxing boat ride in the port of Arenys de Mar. They produce wines that believe in sustainability, the dignity of farming, and caring for the land.
