The date is set for us to open again! We’ll be reopening the hotel on 19 June.
We’re almost even more excited and nervous than the day we first opened ten years ago and we’re eager to take on this new stage. We hope to have you with us soon. After a few strange months, unwind and find yourself again in this little corner of the world.
Cleanliness has always been a priority for us and we’ve always worked hard to ensure our facilities and rooms are completely spotless. That said, given the current situation, cleanliness is twice as important. As such, we’ve put additional measures into place to ensure that our facilities are safe in the fight to halt the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, following recommendations from the Catalan Government, the WHO, the Technological Hotels Institute (ITH) and the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT), we have drawn up a contingency plan and new cleaning and disinfection protocols.
In working to ensure everyone’s safety, we want to draw special attention to the following matters:
1. To make it easier to clean and reduce the risk of contagion, we have removed objects that are normally found in the rooms: information directory, hair dryer, hangers, kettle, cups, complimentary teas, coffee and bottled water, decorative throws and cushions and other decorative objects.
2. When the guests’ stay is over and they leave the hotel, we will completely clean and disinfect their room with certified and safe products. Above all, we will clean objects that people frequently touch even more intensely. Furthermore, we will disinfect the rooms with an efficient ozone generator.
3. There is hand sanitiser in all of the rooms.
4. We have the sheets cleaned at a certified laundry.
5. As far as possible, we will try to leave at least a day between one set of guests and the following one.
6. In order to ensure that we can correctly clean and disinfect the rooms, we have set the check-in time back one hour, and it will now be after 4 pm. As far as possible, we will try to leave at least a day between one set of guests and the following one.
1. We will adapt the frequency at which these spaces are cleaned and disinfected depending on how many people are staying at the hotel. Priority will be given to spaces that more people access, such as the reception, toilets, lift, etc. Also: buttons, switches and key cards.
2. There will be a hygiene point in the reception with hand sanitiser, face mask and gloves available for all employees and guests. There will also be hand sanitiser in different areas of the hotel.
3. Staff-only areas will also be cleaned and disinfected more frequently.
4. We will use an ozone generator to help us to completely disinfect areas.
1. We have set up online check-in and check-out.
2. We offer the option of using digital keys (on a mobile phone) without the need for any apps.
3. We have reduced the number of tables in the dining area to comply with distancing rules.
4. We have closed Bar Honest.
5. We have set up a one-way system in the hotel (going upstairs in the lift and downstairs by foot).
6. We have placed signs to mark out safe distances: in reception and in other spaces where this is necessary.
1. We offer different kinds of breakfast, which must be selected the day before (before 7 pm). Guest also have the option to personalise their breakfast.
2. We have created a breakfast menu with QR codes.
3. To avoid overcrowding, we will request time preferences and time slots will be used.
4. We offer the option of having breakfast in your room (at an additional cost).
5. We will disinfect tables and chairs after every use.
6. We will use an ozone generator to complete the disinfection process at the end of service.
.
1. All members of staff are aware of the contingency plan and, before reopening, they have been trained on the new security measures to halt the risk of contagion, how to use PPE correctly and the new cleaning protocols.
2. We have specific action protocols should a case of COVID-19 be detected (either a guest or an employee).
3. We have ensured that all the products we use for disinfection comply with current legislation and we have made an effort to select products that are more eco-friendly.
4. We have a thermometer to take guests’ temperatures if necessary.
5. Face masks are compulsory in the communal areas.
6. To draw up our protocols, we've been following a document drawn up by the Technological Hotels Institute (ITH) and the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT) based on Order SND/414/2020 of 16 May and Order SND/399/2020 of 9 May 2020 from the Ministry of Health and the guide published by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, drawn up by the Spanish Institute for Quality in Tourism (ICTE) upon the request of the Secretary of State for Tourism entitled "Measures for Reducing the Contagion of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus" and the document drawn up by HOSBEC "The HOSBEC Guide for Reopening Holiday Accommodation After COVID-19".
.
Some of the measures in place could be uncomfortable or inconvenient and, to a certain extent, your stay may be affected. However, we kindly ask you to understand that these precautions are crucial and everyone benefits from them.
We encourage everyone to act responsibly and, as such, if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive or if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, we’d be grateful if you could let us know and refrain from visiting the hotel. We will make it easy for you to cancel or modify your booking.
Let’s keep going!
